Listening Therapy

Many or our Visual Spatial clients have sensory challenges, often referred to as sensory processing disorder (SPD). This can look like:

• covering their ears at basketball games
• not wanting to be hugged
• constantly wanting to touch, taste and feel things
• lack of coordination
• difficulty listening in busy environments
• large mood swings
• difficulty focusing
• always on the move

After experiencing phenomenal results when her eldest child was treated with Modulated Music via Listening Therapy, Melissa Cunningham decided to learn more. She researched Modulated Music and the parent company Vital Sounds. The data was impressive, so she decided to take multiple licensing courses so that she could offer this fantastic resource to Sunburst Academy’s clients. Melissa is now licensed as an Advanced Listening Therapist and can offer the full spectrum of therapeutic music for all of Sunburst Academy’s clients.
